Websites
A popular request is for the Digi team to build businesses a new website.
Especially as included in your monthly subscription package you get 1 free domain name, free website hosting and unlimited email accounts.
However, it's important to understand the process for requesting a new website.
Firstly, please note Digital Island does not edit existing websites that they have not built nor do they make exact replicas of website that have been built by third parties.
In order to unlock the "Website / Email" request type please do either of these steps first:
1. If you don't currently have a website or domain name
Submit a "Business setup - New Domain Setup" Request
or
2. If you already have a registered domain name and website
Submit a "Give us account access - Domain Name" request
Once either of these 2 requests have been completed, the "website/ emails" section will be unlocked.
To ensure that your website meets your specific needs, it's important to have a clear idea of what you want your website to achieve.
To start we recommend selecting new website and following the prompts of the form.
Simple websites that consist of 1 page are classed as landing pages and take less time than an entire website.
Entire website features that can be included are:
- Ability to take bookings e.g. for a restaurant or beauty salons
- Ecommerce for selling your products online across Guernsey or the world. e.g. Jewelry or T-shirts.
- Blog/ News Articles to keep your customer engaged and informed
- Live Chat to give great customer service to website users.
Just chose the features that you might like on your site
Time scales
Compared to a Facebook post, website building is a much larger project so the Dig team will break this down into manageable bytes and keep you updated with progress and they will want your feedback through out the building process at certain stages. This will all be communicated to you on the request via the comments section.
Emails
The Digi team can arrange for an unlimited number of emails to be created for you and your company with the following format:
